Main Structure and Configuration of Multi-directional Forging Hydraulic Press

1. Machine Body Structure

Multi-directional forging hydraulic presses generally adopt an integral frame structure (or "orthogonal pre-tensioned" frame). After aging treatment to eliminate internal stress, it has high rigidity and outstanding resistance to eccentric loads, capable of withstanding huge multi-directional working loads. There are two main structural forms: frame type and four-column type:

1.1 Frame Type Structure: Adopts an integral welded frame, after aging treatment to eliminate internal stress, resulting in high rigidity and outstanding resistance to eccentric loads. The four-corner eight-sided guide rail design ensures motion accuracy. The guide plates are made of copper-based composite materials, combining high-precision guidance and wear resistance.

1.2 Four-column Type Structure: Simple structure, economical and practical, spacious working space, suitable for the production of specific types of forgings.

2. Key Actuating Components

2.1 Main Cylinder (Vertical): A vertically mounted single-acting cylinder with a forged cylinder body made of high-quality alloy steel and imported seals, providing the main longitudinal forging force.

2.2 Side Cylinder (Horizontal): A double-acting cylinder arranged laterally/vertically, enabling simultaneous or step-by-step pressure application in multiple directions to meet the forming requirements of complex forgings.

2.3 Ejector Device: Equipped with an upper feeding and lower ejector device. The ejector cylinder has a built-in sensor for precise control of feeding and ejection strokes.

3. Control System

Modern multi-directional forging hydraulic presses generally adopt a PLC servo control system and a touch screen, supporting process parameter storage and fault self-diagnosis. It allows for flexible switching between automatic and semi-automatic operation and has the following characteristics:

3.1 High pressure and position control accuracy.

3.2 Adjustable speed from 1 to 30 mm/s, stepless speed regulation, and high forming accuracy.

3.3 Capable of achieving advanced control modes such as constant strain rate forging.

3.4 The machine boasts reliable overall performance, energy efficiency, and a high degree of automation.
